On March 21st, we met with the Ministry of Productive Development, where we encountered the Undersecretary of Consumer Defense and Fair Trading, Fernando Blanco Muiño, to address a fundamental issue for our sector: the inclusion of construction materials in the Simple Installment Program.
The Ministry of Productive Development is the government body responsible for promoting policies and programs that drive the country's economic and productive development. The Simple Installment Program is an initiative aimed at facilitating access to products and services through installment payments. This program has proven to be an effective tool for promoting consumption and improving access to various goods and services. Therefore, we consider it of utmost importance that construction materials are included in this program.
At the March 21st meeting, in addition to representatives from the Argentine Association of Brands and Franchises (AAMF) and the Federation of Commerce and Industry of the City of Buenos Aires (Fecoba), there were representatives from several companies in the sector, including us. Together, we expressed our concern about the exclusion of construction materials from the Simple Installment Program and requested that Undersecretary Blanco Muiño consider their inclusion.
We firmly believe that the inclusion of construction materials in the Simple Installment Program would benefit both consumers and companies in the sector, facilitate access to necessary construction products, and improve financing conditions for those who wish to undertake projects in this field.
We will continue working alongside other companies in the sector and relevant authorities to promote this initiative and ensure equitable access to construction materials for all Argentines.
